The Mediation Centre of East Texas is a non-profit corporation that provides the facility for mediators to utilize their experienced to help disputing citizens participate in good faith in a dialogue regarding their dispute, to present their points of view and to explore options for settlement in an effort to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution of their dispute.  The Centre accepts both court referred and voluntary mediations. Upon receipt of a case the Centre: 1) Undertakes a conflict check among the member mediators to assure neutrality; 2) Provides the facilities and setting for the conduct of the mediation; and 3) manages the administration, payment and accounting associated with each mediation.
